I cut out newspaper clippings when I was 7. I got my first email address and screen name when I was 11. I began asking journalists about their careers when I was 12. I joined Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn before they became wildly popular. I love media and communicating through the different forms. I’m fascinated by the opportunities that new media and digital technology present us.
With that as my backdrop, I started LP Media Group Inc., a digital marketing consulting firm. After 11 years of successfully running my business, I decided to take my talents to Plug In America, an EV advocacy nonprofit, to help with the transition to electric vehicles.
What’s your story?
While I may not always ask this question directly, I am always on a quest to discover how people got to where they are today, what influenced them and why they do what they do, whether they’re honey producers at a farmer’s market or CEOs of a national manufacturing company.
This curiosity fuels my personal and professional growth and enables me to uncover compelling stories. It also allows me to see companies in industries foreign to me as an opportunity to appreciate another facet of our fascinating world.
On a personal note
Besides nurturing relationships, I love adopting “rescue plants” from the clearance rack, taking road trips to national parks and engaging others in our democratic process. I read books of all kinds and jam to Jason Mraz and The Chicks.
